Ball Game: 2+ players
Alternate names: Vietnam
The Game
This drinking game is a variation of beer pong. It is less balanced than beer pong but you can offset that by trading sides. The key to the enjoyment of this game are the special rules and tactics that each team gets to use.
Equipment
Plastic Cups, Long Table
How to Play
1.
Split up into two teams, US and Vietnam, both get 10 cups. Team US arranges their cups in a triangle. Vietnam places their cups anywhere they like on their side of the table. The US team fills their cups up with 5 beers, while the Vietnam team fills their cups up with 8. Team US goes first.
2.
Each side gets 3 shots/turn. The difference from beer pong here is that when US cups are hit, the US team must drink the cup and then replace it. When Vietnam cups are hit, they are removed from the game. The game ends when all Vietnam cups are hit or when the US team surrenders.
Special Attacks
Vietnam: Tet Offensive This special attack gives the Vietnam team 2 minutes to repeatedly fire shots. Alternatively, this can be used as an endgame special where after all Vietnam cups have been hit, the Vietnam team can call this.
Vietnam: Bomb Each Team Vietnam player gets to use this special attack once per game. If they make a cup after calling bomb, then all the surrounding cups on the US side are also considered hit.
Vietnam: Draft The US Team has to add another layer to their triangle (aka 5 more cups to the back). The 5 cups in the back are not replaced when hit.
US: Night Vision Team Vietnam must shoot with their eyes closed/blindfolded until one player on the team makes a shot. They are allowed to see in between turns.
US: Napalm Each Team US player gets to use this special attack once per game. They may call it at the beginning of their shot, and it expires after the shot is taken. If they make the shot, then they may draw an imaginary line from the made cup as long as the line crosses two edges of the table. All cups, even friendly cups, in that imaginary line are considered hit.
